Subaru Legacy

The Subaru Legacy is an alternative to models like the Honda Accord or Volkswagen Passat. It is on sale with three different engines, two petrol (165 or 245 hp) and one diesel (150 hp), all kind of boxer. All versions have traction to all four wheels.

The Subaru Legacy is available with four doors bodywork (4,665 mm) or family (4,720 mm). There is also a variant occasionally prepared to move out of asphalt, called Outback.

The Subaru Legacy is a comfortable car to travel by suspension and noise, but not so much because of space. In the front seats but there are no problems in the rear of the saloon, lack width whether they will travel three people and height adults whether they will go.

It has finishing details of outstanding quality. At Subaru Legacy happens as other Subaru (except one as the Justy), without excessive ornaments, too many concessions aesthetic, or materials luxurious (wood or metal), is a car that conveys an impression of solidity and adjust very unusual.

The Subaru Legacy is appropriate for anyone who normally has to drive by road with many curves, because in such an environment is very stable and secure.

The 2.0R version with manual does not seem advisable because it can not have stability control, with automatic change what it takes. Other versions also have it. There is also another version of gasoline, called 3.0R, with a six-cylinder engine and 265 hp.

The diesel version is distinguished externally by the air intake on the bonnet, used to cool the intercooler. The Subaru Legacy, as in other Subaru with turbocharged engine, the intercooler is just below the bonnet (the norm is that it is in the front of the car).

The Subaru Legacy 2.0 Boxer Diesel Diesel is gentler and less noisy, between those who are in this power level. Although this Subaru Legacy has the characteristic sound of a diesel engine, the volume of noise is not very high even in the most unfavourable circumstances: cold, to accelerate or depth to maintain a constant high speed.

The Subaru Legacy is also a soft car; feels little engine vibration, compared with other diesel-engine cars with four or five cylinders and a displacement similar. It is not the softer market, however, in this sense, there is no definitive difference with cars that have an engine cylinder in line.

Another remarkable quality of Subaru Legacy with this engine is its low power consumption despite the total traction system (all versions of the Subaru Legacy have a system of permanent total traction with a differential central viscous coupling).

So far, the fuel consumption of Subaru could pose an obstacle to its purchase; Subaru Legacy diesel-engine spends little in absolute terms and no more saloons than other similar single-axis driving.

Subaru Legacy

The impetus given by the Subaru Legacy with this engine is not particularly intense but uniform. Whether by the engine, transmission or by both the truth is that it costs a little and begin to march in a ramp, let slip the clutch more than what is desirable (occurs in other cars with turbo engine).

Subaru Legacy

So far, the Subaru Legacy Diesel can only lead a gearbox with five relationships. While the practical result here is good, it is conceivable that consumption would be even better with a sixth bearing the engine running at a lower regime.
